HOPKINS COUNTY REGIONAL CIVIC CENTER
1200 Houston Street, is a multi-purpose facility with up to 7,500 square feet of meeting rooms and banquet space, coliseum, livestock arena, exhibit hall, 1,500-seat auditorium and a 300 stall equine pavilion. This facility plays host to three major rodeo events each year, and has spotlighted entertainers such as George Strait, Willie Nelson, Reba McIntire, Garth Brooks and Pat Green, just to name a few. Along with the likes of Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson and Willie Nelson, you can add the North East Texas Choral Society to the list of biggest audience draws at the Hopkins County Civic Center.

The North East Texas Choral Society has been making great sounds since its beginning. The first call for auditions in 1998 brought about 100 people together from all walks of life that have one thing in common; we love to sing.

The Choral Society currently performs two major concerts per year. The Christmas concert is held the first weekend in December, and the spring concert is held the first weekend in May. Each concert consists of a Saturday evening and a Sunday afternoon performance. Our friends continue to tell us that each concert is better than the last. Each performance is recorded and CD’s are available. Come hear us sing, and while you are there, pick up a CD to take home with you.

The major fund-raising event each year is our Cabaret. Each Cabaret consists of an excellent dinner, and super entertainment. This is the time that we get to show our supporters how much we appreciate them. This is also the time when the Choral Society members get to show off their talents. The Cabaret performances are filled with fun and excitement. Don’t miss an opportunity to attend this performance.

After forming in June of 1998, NETCS was asked to perform in July 1998 for Texas Governor George W. Bush at a meeting held in Sulphur Springs. Since that inaugural concert, NETCS has held at least two concerts every year.

This multi-purpose facility is designed to offer you up to 7,500 square feet of meeting/banquet space, with moveable walls to offer as many as four separate rooms starting at 1,000 square feet. You will also find an air conditioned coliseum; a 40,000 sq. ft. livestock pavilion; and a 1,500 seat theatre, all under the same three acre roof.
